Dr. Joshua Martinez, DO

Growing up in a large family in Houston, Texas, I was surrounded by strong values of community, compassion, and hard work. From an early age, I saw how important it was to support one another, especially during difficult times. I always felt drawn to helping people, whether it was comforting a family member or assisting a neighbor in need. That natural desire to care for others only grew stronger over the years, and it became clear to me that a career in medicine would be the most meaningful and impactful way to channel that passion. Becoming a doctor allows me to give back to the community that raised me while also fulfilling a deep personal calling to make a difference in people’s lives. My six years in the Air Force also played a major role in shaping my decision to become a doctor. Serving in the military taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of working under pressure to protect and care for others. I witnessed firsthand the value of quality healthcare, especially in high-stress and challenging environments. It was during that time that I truly understood how much I wanted to be part of a profession that prioritizes healing, service, and dedication. Medicine is more than just a career for me—it’s a lifelong commitment to service, rooted in my upbringing and strengthened by my time in uniform.
